Top 9 Reasons Not To Miss Opening Weekend Of The Steel Tour

Remember the All-American classic late night show ...  Late Show With Dave Letterman?  It debuted in 1993.  The year after I entered this world.   As a little one, I, of course was in bed when this aired.  However, I have seen clips of its famous "Top Ten" segment where Mr. Letterman would countdown the Top Ten of the latest happenings.

Today, as I approach the Opening Weekend of my Steel Tour, I present my own Top Nine on the blog: 9 Reasons Not To Miss Opening Weekend Of The Steel Tour:

9. It's Texas Independence Weekend, Y'all

March 2nd marks Texas Independence Day, when in 1836, Texas officially declared its independence from Mexico and created the Republic of Texas. Surprisingly, a lot of people don't know this fact. A little transparency? I didn't even remember it until a couple months ago (it's been a few years since that 'ol high school Texas history class). How cool is it that the opening weekend of my tour falls on this day!

8. The Steel Tour Can Only Happen Once

As my teams kicks off this opening weekend, it is important to remember that this is my first-ever official tour, branded and marketed with my independent Texas Country Album, Steel.  Hopefully, someday when I am playing that Grand Ole Opry you might be able to say, "I saw her when..."

7. You Won't Be Bored.  Like, Ever.

Opening weekend is a great reflection of how the entire Steel tour is set up because each show is different; we rarely do the same thing twice! I'm going to let you in on a little secret: In the opening weekend alone, I will do a song swap, an acoustic opener, a headlining show, AND a major full band opener! We purposely set the Opening Weekend of the tour up as such so that fans will remain on the edge of their seats and kicking' it up on that dance floor.   I want you to always be able to expect something new and exciting with each show, and, I get to show my versatility as an artist!  That's a win - win in my book!

6. New (Un-Released) Music

Fans who come to the shows on the Steel tour, especially opening weekend, will get a very special first look at the music I've been creating in the past year and haven't yet released!  This means you have the opportunity, if you head to one of my Opening Weekend shows to be among the first to hear this unreleased and really great music.

5. I Will Take "Ussies" From Stage

Want to snap a photo of you, me, and your friends while I'm performing? Come on up to the stage during any part of my set and I'll be more than happy to snap a selfie of us.  If you follow my social, you know that I have had some practice at this "talent".  Taking a good selfie takes skill, yes? Let's do it.

4.  Fun Hashtags

If you decide to post those selfies and "ussies" to social media, help me spread word of the Steel Tour by using the hashtags: #SteelTour, #HollStars, #YoureInTexas, #StageSelfie, and #TexasIndependenceDay.  Also, please tag my social media accounts @hollytmusic ! I like to connect and engage with my fans online, so you can likely expect a retweet or a comment from me, too!

3. If You Think Artist Collaborations Are Cool...

Opening weekend of the Steel Tour is chock FULL of my sharing the stage with other awesome Texas Country artists: Justin Ross, Johnny Cooper, Nick Verzosa, Max Stalling, Saints Eleven, AND The Dirty River Boys

2. FOMO - You know, Fear Of Missing Out.

For those of you who've experienced this, but have yet to put a name with it in your mind, you know what I'm talking about.  FOMO is that little feeling you get in your soul; it starts out as a tiny little itch and with each passing day, turns more and more into a gut-wrenching NEED. It is when you know something big is about to happen and you haven't made plans to be there yet because of life, this or that, or one of many reasons. When FOMO creeps into my soul I try to remember this adage:  You miss 100% of the opportunities you don't chase! Don't be that person. The Steel Tour Opening Weekend will only happen ONCE.

1. It Is Going To Be Awesome

Obviously (though I might be a little biased...and excited).

Ha.

Seriously, though, I hope you will join me at any and as many of the Steel Tour dates and locations as you possibly can.  You, my fans, is why I do what I do and love what I love.  So, with all of my heart, I say thank you, in advance, for scheduling the Steel Tour into your busy life.  And, please, when you're there, stop by at see me during the show break or after the set.  The more I learn about my fans, the more I get to grow as an artist.  And for that, I say, thank you.

This female country artist will see you on Texas road, soon!

XOXO,

Holly
